My gamecube has not been working lately because it will not spin the disc but for a few seconds if it spins at all. it also can not read the disc, what can i do?
If the disc does not spin or spins strangely, it is almost always because the gamecube is having problems reading the disc, and not a problem with the motor. The laser can be adjusted to a higher power, but you will need several special tools to do so. You should be able to find a guide by googling for gamecube laser adjust. If that doesn't solve the problem, you either need to replace the laser or the laser control board.
