You need a SD card with maps on it, you need to activate one of them with a legit product code over www.ttcode.com, other there is no legal way to activate a tomtom map.

I would need more information before I can give you the best advice. I gather from your message that the tomtom doesnt work ? So , can you tell me what it does do at the moment ? ie . does it switch on ? do you get any sounds when you start it up ? is there anything on the screen at all ?

i have the tomtom fully charged. i connect it to the computer and then turn the tomtom on... when it is turned on and connected the computer or tomtom website on my computer does not recognise it... its because i have not activation code for the tomtom i think.
