Most Polaroid flat-screen TVs won't program to the Uverse remotes. Try buying a different universal remote that shows coding for both Uverse and Polaroid.
You wanna reprogram a Uverse remote, follow these steps:
1. Press and Hold the ATT button (top left) and the OK button together
1. Press and Hold TV button (top of remote) and OK button together, all lights will flash
2. Press 9 2 2 on remote
3. Hold play button while pointing remote at TV
4. WAIT
5. It could take several minutes, but hold the play button until your TV turns on or off. Immediately release the play button
6. Press the "enter" key (bottom right on remote)
That should do it. Try it a couple times, you have to be quick on the release and the pressing enter or your code won't save.

1343 or 1005 are the codes - press the TV mode button and the OK button together - the release at the same time - the top row of mode buttons needs to blink twice - then enter the code - the TV button should blink 2 times - try the power and volume buttons - if it worked then be sure to press the ATT mode button again after so you can change the channels
