HELP!!!

Question

My Samsung Upstage feel when I was getting out of the car and stayed in the rain for about 2 hours before I found it. It seems like everything works except the screens - they are white light with visible water spots. I can dial and use my pre-set speed dial #'s just fine (thank GOD), but I can not see a thing on screen. I am tempted to open it up and dry it with a cotton swab or maybe a blow-dryer of low ...  What should I do? If I take it to Sprint, how much help am I going to get in the repair? Will they just try to sell me a new phone and hook me again into another contract? What is their responsibility to help me REPAIR this very expensive phone? Thank you for your help! SM

you can take the battery and the back off the device and place in completely submerged in a bag of white rice and leave it in there for 1 to 2 days this will help absorb the moisture, this should fix it if the water did not damage the circut boards if the water damaged the circut boards then the device is fried
