Hi Brisas,
The Gigabyte video card uses ATI's chips (heart of the card). It shouldn't matter that you install a newer driver for the Radeon X300 series video card. It is backwards compatible.
In other words it still will run with Win98SE.
Latest X300 series video driver, click on the link.

If you realy think you need a driver for Win98SE than download a older version for the radeon card. The link below is very old & may still run you're X300 SE video card. Click on the link. (Take you're pick of old radeon drivers).

Good luck!

hi mike,
thanks for that..interesting !
it seems all was against me hanginging on to win98se, software seems to dictate I dump good old 98 and go with xp, I bought the gigabyte mb 8sigma series with the intel 925/915 chips with a 3gb processor, along with the x300 graphic card..i didnt put much thought into this at the time, living in a foreign land and not over flushed with cash..you know how it is..
well the install disk blatantly spoke of not dealing with 98 only xp..i did search and get the thing up and running with the 98 os but lacking the the graphics card potential..so i knocked the project on the head and installed xp..
anyway thanks for your time and maybe some time I'll set up my other computer and make it so again..
