This is a very simple refractor style telescope. Put the L shaped device called a diagonal into the telescope.
Then put the eyepiece with the largest number written on it into the diagonal.

Magnification is the LEAST important property of a telescope. Quality optics and aperture are much more important.

The best bang for the buck is a reflector style telescope ion a Dobsionian mount. You get the most aperture for the least amount of money. Like this one--

No one supports this telescope. You can buy some eyeglass lens cleaner solution (cleaner kit) and try to clean it up.

I am trying to sell a Tasco 302675 telescope but it is missing the lens for the eye piece. What is it worth with and without the lens and how expensive is it to replace the lens?
Not very much. Maybe $30 or $40. Might be better to just donate it to a school. You can find dozens of these types of scopes for sale on craigslist.com

THE protective cover is the FRONT of the telescope!!!

The focuser is on the front like the picture above. TURN the scope around -- you have it pointing at the ground right now!

Lens' in my new Voyager 78-9960 telescope fell out
The small squares are spacers between the lens elements. Most objectives have 2 parts, with one lens like() or (|. That is the one on the outside, with the outwardly curved side facing the object to view. The other lens goes behind it, making the stack look like: (object) --- ())| for the 2 lenses. Sorry, this page does not allow proper graphics, but I hope you get the idea.
Do not tighten the retaining ring too tight - just enough to hold in place. The lenses need a little space for thermal expansion.

Image is upside down
A telescope sees that way. you have to have a corrective lens to right the view. Its a physics thing about how light goes thru a lens and at the lens flips over upside down, you need another neutral lens to flip it right side up again. If you got the entire kit try another lens till you find the corrective lens.

Did you put the eyepiece into the diagonal? ------- after you put the diagonal into the telescope. Erecting lens is a DIAGONAL by the way. "erecting diagonal"

My son got a telescope and we are unable to focus on anything.
Use the lowest magnification eyepiece which is the one with the largest number on it--- DO NOT use the barlow which will DOUBLE the magnification!

Go outside and focus on a distant object (during the daytime) and practice focusing the telescope. Move the focus know slowly in and out until you get a sharp image.

Bushnell 700x76
Just got a 78-8831 and set it up according to instructions. After inserting lens into eyepiece, I can't see anything at all. Dont worry, I've removed the front cap from the the main telescope.

Something leads to believe I'm either missing something real fundamental or my telescope is broken. Please help
