SOURCE: Sharp ar-163 model Error code F1

You can hold down the start key when the F1 is displayed it will show a sub code. The service manual for that model shows only one F1 code which is an F1-06. That is a shifter motor trouble. That is the section after the exit that offsets the copies.

You can reset the code with the instructions below. If the error recurrs then chech the exit section shidter for proper movement. You may require an on site technician to remedy this issue.

To reset the error code:
Hit <clear> <interrupt> <0> <interrupt>
14 <start>

SOURCE: printer all in one sharp ar-m155

Hi again,

Sorry but not the wire, I was referring to where the wire is attached, both ends. This would either be a clip-on or sandwiched between 2 small plates held together by a screw. It is not uncommon for this clips or plates to be tarnished or have burns. They have to be cleaned, if not current will not flow freely to the corona wire. The purpose of the wire is to draw the toner from the drum onto the paper, it uses static electricity to coat both the photoreceptive drum and the paper with a layer of positively charged ions. If the corona wire is not getting full charge or no charge at all, this is the primary reason the warming up is taking too long.

Additionally, try to enter service mode; try #, *, CA, #.
To reset the developer counter press 24, Start, 5, Start.
To exit press reset 3 to 4 times or turn main power off/on.

Would appreciate further updates.

SOURCE: Printing by SHARP AR M161 on Mac 9.2.2.

Go to printer setup and click on new printer. You should get a long list of printers. Hopefully yours is on the list. Click on the printer name and you will be presented with several drivers. Choose the one that is the best for you. Before you exit print a test page. Give the printer a name.
If this does not work you will have to install the windows driver. This is only possible If your Mac can run windows software.
