Processor Compatibility Hi. I have an AX45V motherboard w/ a 1.6 GHz P4 processor (socket 478) and I want to upgrade. Just wandering what P4 processors to look for. I think the socket is good for up to 3.4 GHz but I'm wandering what exactly this particular motherboard can handle.

Hi your mobo can support processors of 400 FSB . The best you could do is use a 2.4 or 2.66 ghz processor . Processors of 533 FSB or beyond are not supported , all these are uni core proc., the newer procs., are all dual or quad cores so beware do not buy a wrong processor
