Remote display/monitor Hi, I have been using a remote Samsung monitor with my Asus laptop for some time now. Recently, I used my laptop with a projector to show powerpoint slides. This functioned normally. Since this use, I have been unable to have my Samsung monitor work again. I have tried everything I can think of. At one stage when I selected the mode to "extend my display to this monitor", I saw a flickering dark image of the Windows desktop. Now I can't even replicate that. I have proven that the monitor and cable are fine by using a different laptop. Is it most likely that the a hardware failure has occurred, and are there any further tests I should do to check/resolve? Thanks for the help in advance.
First try to reinstal the monitor display driver.
Failing that working I would next borrow a monitor to see it it works. That wil tell you if it is a monitor or video card problem.
