Model # JMV8208BAS

On a GE or Hotpoint, it usually means the keypad is defective. On some other brands, it means there's a sensor error.

Why does my microwave not work? It displays what I believe is an error code.

. The SE error code means the microwave has had a Key short error. The control panel or smart board will need to be replaced.

Sorry but the -se- error code from the manual means:
An error of the oven may cause

Kenmore elite microwave troubleshooting

<- If you had listed your error code, I would probably have been able to tell you what it means.

But of course, I'd also want the full model number from the tag on the unit.

Error E:02 comes up

Hi nic_marlon,

The meaning of the error code depends on what brand of your machine is. If you can provide it to me I can give you accurate information. On Westpoint this error means you have a temperature sensor error. The sensor is damaged or faulty.

Hope it helps.

Thank you for using Fixya.

Microwave keeps beeping and the Code 230 comes up. Do I have replace the darn thing??

Hello there and thank you for choosing Fixya
The problem with the 230 error code is that it covers 3 0r 4 possiable items but here is what it could be

If the number showing in the display is higher than 213 you more than likely have on of the following problems; sensor failed open, sensor unplugged, wiring, or smart board.

Most of the time i have found it to be the sensor

looks like any one of the 2 i have listed belowtbirdfan1_52.jpgtbirdfan1_51.jpgtbirdfan1_50.jpg or it could just be your circuit board ok So check these out first Hope this helps mike
