Your copier is starved for cyan toner. The cartridge either ran out or its' countdown chip went to zero without your copier alerting you that it was running low, sometimes that happens on those models. Change your cartridge.

    yes though the problem persisted even after toner replacement.

    The error code references the toner density sensor at the bottom of your cyan developer tank. Take out the tank and spin the roller (from the boss on the back side) and see if you have an even coating of mixed developer and toner. If you can see the bare metal on your roller then almost all the developer has been sucked out of it and you will have to clean out the rest and replace it (you may have a broken tank at this point though). Sometimes you can remove the toner sensity sensor from the bottom of the tank and clean off any crystallized toner ... you should do this on a large piece of clean paper because developer will spill out of the tank and you'll want to put it all back in when you're done. Worst case scenario is that your density sensor is shot, and due to the age of the machine, you're better off replacing the entire developer tank and cyan developer.
