I'm getting a squeaking noise from my Windchaser WCUFLTI fan when it stands upright. If I lean it against the wall, the noise stops. I'm in the process of dismantling it, but can't get the back cover off. So... any ideas?

Not sure on the squeaking. Mines squeak to on the low and medium speed, but not on high speed. As for the cover, remove the three 'visible' screws. There are two screws in the handle, but you have to remove the plugs that are hidding the screws. Use a thin flat blade screw driver to pry the plugs. Then, the screws will be visible for removal.

Once the all the screws are off from the back cover, using a flat screw driver depress the tab above the handle; then, gently '****' downwardly (assuming the fan is standing) to remove the back cover.
