Make sure the ink is not empty. try removing the cartridge then just put it back in. what is the exact error in the lcd?
My iP 5000 showed me the error code 5C00! I browsed the net and found the following cheap idea: I slid the cartrige holder to the left and looked for any misplaced particles or paper fragments,- none were there, very clean, I then pressed the "resting pad", where the cartridge usually sits downwards carefully for about 1/3 of an inch approximately. I connected to power again and printer beagn to readjust itself and calibrate. It then started back to normal, only the black cartridge needed seroius cleaning! Best regards Wolfhard
