Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly

The error & fault code "E6 F2" is a keypad or keypad connector problem. However... the control board can also cause this fault. Sometimes you can clean the ribbon and connector at the control board attachment point and correct this.

There is a tech sheet inside the control panel (envelope) that has all of the error codes listed.

The control boad has a female connector with 2 release tabs for the ribbon. YOU MUST unlock the release tabs to remove the ribbon. This is a tedious process but if your gentle and take your time you can coax the ribbon out of the connector. The contact area of the ribbon is quite thin. I have found that you can place something non metalic and FLAT behind the ribbon and then use a tissue to gently clean the ribbon wiping in the same direction of the electrical runs on the ribbon. I.e. wipe from above the bitter end down to the bitter end. (one direction only) The female connector on the control board is much more forgiving. Once you complete the cleaning process press the ribbon back into the female connector and lock the 2 tabs.

If this does not correct the problem you can end up changing the control board (1st) and the touch pad (2nd) to fix it.

If you need help with locating parts just respond here and I will gladly assist you.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

Can the ribbon alone be replaced without the control board? One of the contact areas on the ribbon appears to be scraped off by careless assemblers. Thanks!

The ribbin can be replace but good luck finding one. You might be able to peel back the outer plastic of the shorter side of the rippon and trim the end if it is at the main board connector. You would have to punch new connector lock tab holes also. Good luck.... A tedious task but possible.
