My UK launch ps3 has just stopped reading BR disks. it will sometimes load them up but they will freeze within a couple of minutes.
how would i be best to go about getting this fixed? would Sony still fix it or replace it if it is out of warranty?
i have heard this has become quite a common problem, especially among launch 60gb ps3's.

Yes they will for a minmal fee of 180$ AHAHAHAH what a joke..
no they wont fix it for free.. it is cheaper to fix it yourself.
O you have to have the original recipet to even get it fixed if its in warranty.
Anyways get a lense cleaner they do have cd lens cleaners and try that first! 10$ 5quid your saves you a bunch!

i was playing fifa soccer 08 when suddenly the game had no sound so i quit the game and then i turned of the console and now i cant play any of my games. sometimes i can play but it freezes again after a couple of minutes
