SOURCE: Laptop keeps losing power at start up and shuts down repeatedly
does it run with the power cord plugged in? if so your batterys dead, otherwise harddrive/bios/motherboard fault? is your power supply charging the battery?
SOURCE: Can be 5mins-1hr of use and the system shuts down
the problem you are having here is the laptop is over heatting and need to shut down to stop anything getting damaged. this is why it won't turn on the first few times you try. What you need to do is clean the laptop fan and make sure the laptop is on a good level table where the air can get to the fan ok. try this and see how you get on.
