Do i need to do anything special when replacing the brushes in a lamb ametek 117500 motor? It looks like I can just remove the old brushes and insert the new ones. Is it this simple? Will the motor work again? Thanks

I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Make sure they are the right carbon brushes for your particular lamb motor and once you have installed the new ones then there is a seating chalk that you place against the armature to help seat the carbon brushes, you can pick up the seating chalk @ your local vacuum cleaner store or contact Lamb / Ametek listed below.
