RAS (Remote Access Service) is a Microsoft service that allows remote devices to connect to a server. This can be via the internet (Wide Area Network), Modem, or direct connect. Some non Windows Mobile PDAs use RAS to sync up with the server.

Unless there's a specific need for this service, it's not advisable to run it, as it becomes a vulnerability.

Split a/c. RAS/RAC-35YHA3 1. Book says Green light on, filter needs cleaning. Filter and air way clean. ?? 2. Heat function ok, Cool function ok. Auto, heater comes on and keeps going. I swictched back to...

I believe the filter light is just a timer set for "x" any days or month. Most t-stats are that way. If you have the manual, you can reset it. Also make sure fresh batteries are in the controller. Good luck.

Hi, I have Hitachi model: RAS 63CHA4/RAC 63CHA4 The indoor unit looks working for the fan function, but not for the other function. The fan on the outdoor unit looks not working. What is the problem?

Is your compressor is working? If so, check motor to rotate manually. If hard to remove, replace bearings or motor. If easy to rotate, replace capacitor.
If your total out door is not working, check for power in out door unit. If not communication error between indoor and out door, provided you keep in right setting. If so, replace your indoor PCB.Helpful?

Error 720 - the connection attempt failed because your computer and the remote computer could not agree on PPP control protocol. Gateway Desktop

To resolve this behavior, follow these steps:
  1. Find out which protocols the RAS server is running, and make sure that the RAS service is installed and configured properly (or ask the Network Administrator to do this).
  2. After you find out which protocols the RAS server is running, make sure that your Windows XP-based computer is running one of the same protocols that the RAS server is running:
    1. Click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Network Connections.
    2. Under Virtual Private Network, right-click the VPN connection, and then click Properties.
    3. In the VPN Connection Properties dialog box, click the Networking tab, and make sure that you have a protocol that the RAS server is running.
  3. If you do not have a protocol that the RAS server is running, add the needed protocol:
    1. Click Install, click Protocol, and then click Add.
    2. Click the protocol that you need to install, and then click OK.

Remote instructions

Try this:

It's a different model than mine, but the remote and the commands appear to be similar.
