My problem is on doing compound interest. the formula is S=(1+i)to a power of a number.( if im saying it right). I'm kind of stupid so stay with me. I don't know if its a function on my calc. or not. Using a TI-30x2s The key next to the 7 is a X with a small 2 in the corner( Power of 2. its probably got a different name then what I'm using. ) How can i set a number to be a power. I know that I can hit the X2 button to put a 2 in there, and i can do that multiple times. So just wandering if I can hit a button, and then a specific number to be a power.

To raise a value to another value, use the ^ key above and left of the 7 key. For example, to raise 2 to the 3rd power, press 2 ^ 3 ENTER and see 8.
