I got two problems while installing the wireless Printer for my desktop: 1) Your wireless router requires a WPA security passphrase. The passphrase configured on your printer does not match exactly. Reconfigure your wireless network WPA security passphrase for your printer. Q) What is to be done to solve the above error?and where do I configure this for the printer? 2) The printer attempted to join the network but is not receiving any data. This may be caused by MAC address filtering. If MAC address filtering is enabled and you would like to keep it enabled, add the MAC address of your printer to the list of permitted devices for your wireless access point or router before continuing. Print the Wireless Network Test report from your printer to find the MAC address of your printer. Q) Now , I got the mac address , how do I proceed?

SOURCE: i need to get a wpa passphrase how do i get 1

WPA is the network password. Contact the network administrator to get the network password.
This is same password that you use to access your network.

SOURCE: My new HP - Officejet

I tried everything, even called HP and they tried to sell me a new printer. So about 6 hours into trying to fix it, I decided to just reset my router (unplugged it and let it reboot). It was fixed.
