Cannot connect printer to computer. Computer uses windows 7 OP. When using using Devises and printers to setup, goes through the motions but ends up not being recognize. Original software not compatable with windows 7.

Then the problem is not with the driver (which is the official OKI one) or windows, it's with the printer itself - it's faulty. Since the printer is not recognized it means that the controller board inside it
is defective
: it got fried by a static charged when you plugged the data cable.
The only way to fix that is to replace the board but that can be done only by the repair shop of a dealer and it will cost around $250. It will be cheaper in the end just to buy a new one than to fix this one.



And when you install the new one make sure it and the pc you will connect it will be grounded.
