SOURCE: Raid 0 on Intellistation 6221?
That particular work station comes with both IDE and SCSI drive interface controllers. The IDE drive should be used for your OS. The SCSI drives for your data storage. Now, the issue is to get the SCSI to work in RAID_0 as I understand.
You iwll need a RAID controller such as Adaptec AHA-3940AU WD SCSI Host Controller, which may be found on eBay (used) for a very affordable price. The driver software may be downloaded directly from Adaptec, so I suggest you do that in the iterim peroid, and store drivers on a USB thumb drive.
Hope this helps you.

SOURCE: IBM Total Storage DS400 I just did a ot sway
Hello there, I am a former IBMer that worked with storage arrays all the time, but I am confused on your issue here. I think you may have missed a few characters in your first couple sentences here:
IBM Total Storage DS400I just did a ot sway replacement of a failed controller.... IBM ServeRaid mgmt displays the same same failed controller status.
So have you replaced the failed controller? Sometimes you need to remove the definition from the system of the one controller and re-add it for it to recognize, but shouldn't need to.
Let me know some more info and I can definitely help you here.
Thanks
Tim
SOURCE: Boot problem with IBM xseries 206 - SCSI Drive and SATA drive
Not a solution: just a follow up. Did you work this out, as I have the same problem now. For others info: the xseries 206, has 2 sata connections which can be configured as a sata raid. It also has 3 hot pluggable scsi slots. When the sata drives are not connected it boots off the scsi to win server. As soon as the satas are plug in ( 1 or 2, raid or not) it wants to boot off the sata drive. Any help would be great.
