After you take the screws out the canopy slips forward and comes out. Just, gently, pull it out in the direction of the nose and it will come out.

have you tried using the trim buttons?,after take off when its around 2ft in the air if the tail spins to the right tap the left trim button a few times and if its spinning left tap the right button a few times and this should stop it spinning it works ok on my one

Your should exchange the product at the store you bought it from for another one. the problem lies inside the syma. it must have been a defect that the company did not notice.
