HI, I have a sharp er-a470 and by mistake i turned the key to SRV' position and back to SRV, and now when i try to register something i get the "NOT ASSIGNED" message. i already checked and all the product information is still in the memory. All the products, prices and departments. How can i fix this??. Thanks, Bruno

You need to assign a clerk - press one of the number buttons, then press 'clk'

If the machine is dead, then you probably have a bad battery. It should be changed every 3 to 5 years by the dealer. If it has been left too long, then this is a common symptom and the machine loses all programming. Otherwise, you may have a faulty power supply or mode lock unit. Hi. You may have a bad battery. This can cause lock ups. If it hasn't been replaced in the last 3 to 4 years, take it to a dealer to have the internal battery replaced. The battery will eventually leak all over the inside of the machine and damage it beyond repair. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
