Say out loud "wrong disc, wrong disc" 5 times and then spin around and stamp your left foot 4 times and then your right foot 6 times and then ****!!!!! I found it FIXED THE PROBLEM!!!!!
BETTER HAVE THE LENSES OF YOUR PLAYER CHECKED OR REPLACED.
If this model displays Wrong Disc even when you play all kinds of CDs, you may want to buy a CD/DVD laser cleaner for it.

we also have a coby dvd player that says wrong disc... it plays muisc with no issues - I do not have a disc head cleaner but will look into it.
did not solve my problem .. maybe I have the wrong kind as this one needs to be loaded and has onscreen review .. which obviously does not work .. WRONG DISC
need a service center near manila or pasog.. my dvd doesnt play the cd or dvd anymore..
Brand new out of the box and have gotten the wrong disc error and haven't been able to play any discs yet. Haven't tried the music ones yet.
