We were given a GE model #JBP26GV3AD The clock works, the upper electric burners are fine. The oven does not turn on, although my wife said the upper heating element worked, albeit slowly. I have completely replaced the control panel with a new one, we replaced the lower heating element, which was obviously burned, even broken at one place. Using an electrical tester, I have been able to determine that the current at the outlet is 220, the connector end of the wire into the stove is 220, splitting into 110, the top controls for each electric burner are showing power of 220, but no power showing through any leads connecting into either the broiler or oven. Sadly, when I removed the lower heating element, I could have sworn there are only 2 wires I removed, but I pulled those 2 wired through to test their leads, and when plugging the stove in, experienced a large spark, where I saw yet a 3rd black wire had touched the metal - and I have no idea where that wire is supposed to connect to. It would make sense to me that it is the power wire to the lower heating element, which I see also has a yellow wire connecting to the bake control, then a purple wire connecting the upper heating element. I probably should hire a service tech at this point, but thought I'd ask for your help first.
