Maybe your computer user account has a limited access. Check the user account you are using. This must be in full access control. After doing it try to format again the disk. Return to me if the problem still exisit after doing it.

Unformat floppydisk emulator

Floppy emulator can't read flashdisk untill it formatted.
Flashdisk MUST BE format by special softwares.
Install the softwares on the PC/notebook.
No matter how much flashdisk capacity, floppy emulator will continue to read as one 1.44MB floppy.
Through special softwares formater, we can determine how many floppy that we will create. Lets say,100 floppy (or more),softwares will format the floppy 1.44 100 times on the flashdisk.
So we have 100 pieces 1.44MB floppy inside flashdisk. If one floppy can store about 30 MIDI songs, then it means that we already have 3000 songs in flashdisk.
If you format for 100 floppy, the total capacity of about 144MB.
So,flashdisk with a 2GB capacity, is more than enough to store songs.
To change from one floppy to enother, just press bank number at floppy emulator panel.
I hope this helps.
Regards.

Why my san disk usb fash when i check its properties shows only 8mb out of 2gb and doesnt allow to be formatted

Whenever a computer tries to access a flashdisk, even for just retrieving the properties of the disk, a LED will flash.
Not being able to format your disk is another thing. If you've opened a file at this disk, Windows will prevent formatting. Best is to restart your PC, and than immediatelly start the formatting-process.

To unprotect

It would depend on your Operating System. If you are using Windows 98 you'll need the drivers from your CD or from Apacer's website. The CD also has tools to perform various functions which might include protecting and unprotecting your flash disk.

Apacer's download site: http://usa.apacer.com/us/support/downloads.asp

Cannot formating

ok, you have hard drive and then you have flash disk.
I assume you are talking about a memory stick flash drive.
is this for you computer or camera?
If you are talking about a memory stick/flash drive for your computer it is not necessary to format it for it to be usable.
Hope this helps
