Bypassing the temp sensor may cause a FIRE!!! I don't recommend this.
Having said that, I often bypass temp sensors to test if they are the problem, then I order and install a new one. I would not operate it without the sensor though except to test. I looked at Samsung's site and searched for any schematics without luck. I would suggest that the sensor will be mounted where the set produces the most heat. and be wired into the power circuit. If you see a separate power board, it may be wired to but not necessarily mounted to that board. Good Luck.

I am not going to bypass it. I want to make sure it is connected correctly per a solution offered regarding the TV shutting off and on.
Have DLP samsung 42'' tv and since yesterday it stared turning off, I haven't being able to find the problem, i tried the switch behind the tv but it didn't work, now i read about upluging the temp ensor but i don't know where is it. I'll just keep trying
Did you ever find out where the temp sensor is located? I'm trying to locate it myself.
