To reset the handset follow the steps below:
While in standby mode, press the center select key for Menu
Highlight Settings & Tools (6)
Select Phone Settings (5)
Select Security (6)
Enter the lock code, default password is the last 4 digits of cell phone number, unless it has been changed, then press center select key
Select Restore Phone (5)
Highlight Yes, using the navigation wheel
Press the center select key to confirm resetting the handset to factory default settings
After the "Press *228 SEND after power cycle" message appears, press center select key
Enter the lock code, default password is the last 4 digits of cell phone number, unless it has been changed, then press center select key to confirm resetting the handset to factory default settings

Note: After the handset power cycles back on, dial *228 then press the SEND key to re-program your phone number

WARNING: All settings are reset to factory default settings and All User Data is permanently erased, including pictures, video, music, messages, contacts, and downloaded applications stored on the handset.
