Hi qkoz1 - theres afew things you can try- by intake/drain perhaps should be inlet/drain same thing..
Just be careful with the dangers involved with electricity......
Perhaps the pump is faulty however - the basis of operation is as it fills the pump engages. Theres a capacitor that drives the pump accessed from the right side - panels needs removal with torqx if you're unlucky. remove top either from side/front a bung screws there or front door open look up.
remove screws on top one rear bottom & along front with door open.
if it flashes at intervals then the flowrate unit is defective - need to be savvy to sort this one out.
if flashes continously then there possibly a blockage in the inlets - remove inspect filters.
one other thing - remove trays- steel mesh on bottom-locate the steel wire spring - deflect & pull housing upwards - this reveals the front of the pump - perhaps there some unpleasant surprises.
I can guide you to replace the flowrate - but the question is if you can obtain one. Miele supplies there agents/service contractors only as far as I know.
