Error code 8 on display panel of frigidaire dishwasher. What do I do to clear code?

all i did was unplug dishwasher for 30 mins.and the code reset it self.

this just happened to ours and it turned out to be the gasket that seals the door.

when you see the CL error and the door is indeed shut, pull gently back on the door. if you hear a click and the unit starts running again, it may be the gasket.

ours lost it's ability to keep the seal, allowing enough 'play' in the locking mechanism for it to think the door was not closed.

I would suspect a faulty touchpad/console. They get moisture in them and short out causing all sorts of problems.

You might remove the front panel (screws on the sides) pop off the front plate, and remove the fuse. Put it back in after 5 minutes... sometime this fixes it
