First make sure that the speaker wires haven't fallen out of the wonderful spring clip connections the factorys use. If they are hooked up properly and you have a headphone jack plug in a set of headphones and check for sound. If you have sound the problem is in the power amp. If not it could be in the preamp or power amp. At this point if sound is absent and you can solder, open the unit and check the solder joints for bad connections and resolder anythhing which looks questionable. These days the majority of problems are related to cold solder joints. If the unit still is not working you will need an O Scope to trace the signal. If this is beyond your capabilities any repair shop should be able to find the problem.

usually these are not an economical repair, you either have a mechanical jam in the cd transport mechanism or you have a servo motor problem. you may be able to find a used working unit cheper then repairing you unit also when a repair is done on these changers they have a high repeat failure rate. If a local service center could just remove the jammed cd's and let it reset itself then try it again and see if it fails right away or works correctly, then you may have an idea on which way to procede

The problem of "'no discs'"displayed is in the mechanism in the roller thats moving back and port bringing the lense set .The old grease thier is already hardened that cause the problem.Clean that by using a lighter fluid or like that fluid to take the old grease, and put it with a new one first class grease type-A grease put only a little grease and wipe the lense with a cotton buds without any chemicals on it .Try this solution so performance will be better.
