I am getting error code F9. what does this mean?
f9 codes usually relate around the printer boards or firmware errors you could try uipdating the firmware of the sharp site or look at the printer board connections.. try unplugging machine from wall and then take the back panel off check the conections of the boards and reboot.

I have never seen this error code on a sharp FO 5700 are you sure that is the right model # or error code. I even did a search in the FO5700 service manual(no luck). I believe I have seen this code before on a sharp copier.
