In case of your Toshiba Satellite R15-S822 laptop the easiest method would be using software from Hiren's Boot CD as it's pretty hard to open it up and reach for the CMOS battery (which is on the motherboard) or the jumper.
Hi , if you have WIn XP or XP SP2 click on the link below to download the touch pad drivers for Satellite R15-S822. If you are using Vista then you will have to Manually selct Wondows Vista from the drop down box on the page.
toshiba batteries, not all .. but many just have problems ...
try this ...
pop the battery out ... and plug in the ac w/o the battery in place ...
if this works .. you need a new battery ...
otherwise .. try another battery ( same model , of course )
if this works ... you need a new battery
look up your battery on toshiba and/or sony's website (battery recall program)
