Question about SkyCaddie SGX GPS Receiver

I have been using my SGX for 8 months with no problem very satisfied until I used it for the first time in a heavy rain, it kept working until I put on charge about two hours after completing my round

... There is no mention anywhere on information leaflet that says it cannot be used in the rain. under appendix,helpful hints,you will see that,it is in your manual. SkyGolf SkyCaddie SGX User Manual ...
