SOURCE: My 2001 Polaris Trailblazer has a grinding noise

The problem is most likely the silent chain inside the transmission. I had this problem on a '98 Trailblazer. Made the grinding noise in forward but no noise in reverse. The new chain solved the problem. You will have to remove the transmission and split the case. Not a hard job if you have some mechanical know how.

SOURCE: my 2002 polaris trailblazer wont start it has fire

If you have oil and gas and it will fire then try a new plug. A bad plug when removed will appear to be fine but under compression can fail.

Also try a splash of good gas in the throat of the carb or intake (if fuel injected) with a new spark plug. My bet is it fires just fine.

If this is a fuel injector type engine you could have a bad injector control unit or a clogged injector.

If it fires with gas in the intake manifold then suspect carb or injector system. (which ever applies)

Thanks for using FixYa!
