BCM shuts that feed down if that feed overloads, on purpose

the 2000 silverado gas tank size depends on the size of the bed,if the truck has a 6.5 ft bed then it holds 26.0 gals. if it has a 8 ft bed then it holds 34.0 gals, hope this helps.

TBI is not a dead technology R10 , V10 S10 and G10 then. silverado is trim name then. not model name. I will guess 2wd R10 Pickup truck, 5.7 sure TBI with 2 injectors in the BODY, 1 is for starting I think the one the primes (if does )squirts key on is easy to prove unplug the injector elect connector if does not squire not the ECM is doing that and may be okay. well you forgot to scan the OBD2 port for tranny errors that transmission will complain if it can not shift correctlys why not scan it first and check levels.(ATF) all modern cars must be scaNned or go broke guessing or then guessing and putting wrong parts on the car, a horror that.

in shop they do not just throw a bent on. your talking the SERP belt to all Accessories the tech makes sure (testing) that all things seen there spinning do not have bad bearings. loose. not told at all how you learned that ? is only the ABS lamp glowing in dash, it? is it? scans fail. , scan tool acts dead, what/? 2007 stated, not 2017 right? fuses blown. not scanning the OBD2 port for all DTC errors. not reporting here those errors. off hand there is no common. cause but yes GMLAN dead. sure. but rusty wires on it from driving in the SALT belt is common. common to FAIL ALL, like that. The DLC (Data Link Connector) fuse IS IN BCM BOX. FUSES SEE ;photo of it below end. the ABS module uses 4 wire GMLAN network. any thing in the car that shorts out this network will make the ABS fail. this 2007 car uses GNLAN bus any scan tool with Can-bus certified for can-bus can scan this car, OBD2 port 2008 and up tools are best 1996 is no good, no can bus then. is why. CAN = Controller Area Network bus here is the fuse that blows, and now scanner at DLC OBD2 port is now dead. it is wired to the HVAC fuse. +CTRL recap wrong scan tool used, not Can-bus 2008 and newer the GM-lan networks is dead? but that kills vast things not just ABS . so car drives ok. no told that. not told at all 2 things what told you comms fail and what else fails on the car, vast things or just only ABS. or what scan tool do you use? matters HUGE.

this failure is out of the blue or you bought and old car like this with this problem???? idle out of controls has many cause but sure IAC stuck , all gummed up and there is no adjustments. by law in USA< for that, same as spark not. the PCM as huge table of legal EPA idle speeds hot. and cold. (and cranking) based of engine temps. and Altitude. that is how it works it is called A SERVO, that means it is like Cruise control or and air craft auto pilot. EFI does all that and lots more. bad idle is vacuum leaks. or clogged injectors. the truth is the IAC has limited COMMAND authority. (means RANGE OF CONTROL) it is not endless, it can only close fully or open full and in between. if it closes 100% IAC and idle is too high that mean idle speeds are now out of control EGR stuck open can make RPM too low. or IAC stuck closed makes RPM too low , IAC is just fresh air vacuum leak. that is all it does. but The PCM Modulates this. some cars have 2 valves, IAC and ISC, one is thermal only, the other is hot only. the thermal one is open cold and old cars this device fails. 2400 is also dead wrong RPM unless in north alaska at -40F temps, no out door temps stated by you and this is a WWW world wide forum . so Location matters huge and dates, for cold starts. on earth. this can be hard to find, seen vacuum leaks me in places humans can not go. a real pain that, seen on guys TBI throttle body , had cracks inside sucking air no human can reach or the IAC thermal valve was bad or its gasket cracked sucking air like mad. vacuum leaks will wreck idle controls easy. In real shop they use smoke machine to fine the hard nut cases. for sure. 3.1 Liters, Vin code J engine. answers only mine I will not read the book for you (SM) and see how complex IAC is on this car. yes this answer varies by year and countries sold to..... Markets. this car uses cable throttle drive and optional old skool cruise control (cable too) so if either cable is bad or rusty or stuck or not adjusted for spec free play the idle will fail hard. like that, look for tranny kick down cable too. any cable on the throttle is inspected first. easy stuff first. this engine has this spec for IAC Controlled by IAC Valve Engine Speed 600 rpm +/- 100 rpm Command Speed (within 150 rpm) 1700 rpm the EGR must not leak (egr path) nor must it be allowed to have base gasket leaks sucking AIR. ive seen EGR cracked casings, sucking air all the time did you scan the PCM OBD2 port for errors,? when it hits 2400 RPM what if it told you why, like it is running in limphome mode. DTC errors that can be catastrophic like that. does the water temp hit and old near 180f or is water stuck cold all the time, if stuck low all the time the idle speeds are stuck on dead cold warm up mode all the time. The coolant thermastat is a 7 year service point or lease (design life is that) no lasted 21 years, that is way way to long. Im doing low hanging fruit here, easy tests and common both. your factory Thermostat is 195F spec, so says SM this page is the vacuum devices that can leak , the MAP must not be dead (limphome happens) nor MAP ID#2 must not leak and suck air. at idle. scan the OBD2 port for DTC error if the PCm sees a dead sensors the PCM simulates one in software(firm) if it does that trick as all cars do EFI it goes to limp home mode and the IAC is now dead and off line. not scanning cars can be costly guessing. if it knows the MAP is dead idle controls are dead. or intake manifold base side has bad old intake gaskets, old and crumbly and bad ,as most are this old. I upgrade those with FelPro prime grade gasket set. in the drawing all things there are checked for vac, leaks. see next post for names to numbers, same drawing.
