Log splitter how to flush hydraulic system

removing hydraulic oil from the system
  • fully extend the cylinder. and shutdown.
  • remove the one end of the hose that is from the rod end of the clylinder.
  • two ways you can go here. either: detach the one end of the hose that is attached to directional control valve and leads to the cap end of the cylinder and place the end in a pale then retract the cylinder by physically forcing the rod back in and all the oil will drain out of the cap end into the pale and the rod end will fill with air.
  • or u could hold the directional valve in the position to let the oil flow back to tank while physically forcing the rod back in. the oil in the cap end will drain to tank and rod end will fill with air.
  • drain the tank of oil.
  • if you wanted to be extra thurough remove the remaining lines and drain the oil out of them.
  • reattach all lines.
  • replace oil filters/strainers. should be one on the return line going to tank. and one on the suction line before the pump. But there may not be a second filter.
  • fill tank with new oil.
  • extend the cylinder using the pump. allowing the air to bleed off the rod side. may chatter at bit while extending. if excessive chatter remove line end to allow the air in the rod side to bleed to atmosphere and continue till fully extended.
  • reattach line. probably a good idea to run a couple cycles.
  • and repeat the entire process for a thurogh flushing.
  • ! note: dont be dissconnecting lines with pressure in them or while the system is running.
  • ! note: be sure to have enough oil in the tank so the pump is not sucking air. this will eventually cause unrepairable damage to pump if sucking air for too long.
  • i just wrote this off the top of my head and ive only worked on industrial hyraulic systems and never on a log splitter before so just keep that in mind. hope it helps

Black water comes from bathroom faucet when turned on for a secound

If black water comes out of the bathroom faucet when you turn it on, it could be an indication of a serious problem with your plumbing system. Here are some steps you can take to address the issue:

Turn off the water supply:
The first step is to turn off the water supply to your home. This will prevent any more black water from coming out of the faucet.
Identify the source of the problem:
The black water could be caused by a number of factors, such as rust in the pipes, sediment buildup, or contamination. It is important to identify the source of the problem before taking any further steps.
Flush the system:
Once you have identified the source of the problem, you can flush the system to remove any sediment or rust buildup. Turn on all of the faucets in your home, including the one that was releasing black water, and let the water run for several minutes. This will help to clear out the pipes and remove any debris.
Call a plumber:
If the problem persists after flushing the system, or if you are unable to identify the source of the problem, it is recommended that you call a licensed plumber. A professional plumber will be able to diagnose the problem and recommend the best course of action to resolve it.
In summary, if black water comes out of your bathroom faucet, it is important to turn off the water supply, identify the source of the problem, flush the system, and call a plumber if necessary.

Ofcourse it’s best to call a professional

Hi! My hot water taps from the wash hand basin and

In a word no. Combi boilers work on balanced pressure.ie the mains cold supply to the boiler should be around 1 bar minimum which would give a hot water pressure of the same 1 bar. Assuming the cold water pressure is fine, it sounds like you have a restricted flow on the hot side. If you live in an area with water problems the hot water systems pipework calcify over time effectively reducing water flow. Unless any flexi hoses are kinked, check if there are any filters in the appliances that may be blocked. Also check all valves are fully open and if possible check if there are any restrictions at the valves. Failing all that and the taps are in good order it is possible to fit a pump before the boiler but this may only be a temporary fix overall.

Everpure faucet leaks at handle, how to fix ??

If your Everpure faucet is leaking at the handle, the problem could be a faulty O-ring or a worn-out cartridge. Here are the steps you can follow to fix the leak:
  1. Turn off the water supply: Before you start working on the faucet, make sure to turn off the water supply to prevent any accidents.
  2. Remove the handle: Use a screwdriver to remove the screw that holds the handle in place. Once the screw has been removed, you can gently pull the handle off the faucet.
  3. Check the O-ring: Look for an O-ring around the base of the handle. If the O-ring is damaged, worn or missing, it can cause water to leak from the handle.
  4. Replace the O-ring: If the O-ring is damaged, replace it with a new one. You can purchase O-rings at a hardware store or online.
  5. Check the cartridge: If the O-ring is in good condition, the problem could be a worn-out cartridge. You may need to remove the cartridge and replace it with a new one.
  6. Reassemble the faucet: Once the O-ring or cartridge has been replaced, reassemble the faucet by putting the handle back in place and tightening the screw.
  7. Turn on the water supply: Finally, turn the water supply back on and test the faucet to see if the leak has been fixed.
If you're having difficulty fixing the leak or if the problem persists, it may be best to contact Everpure customer support for further assistance. They can help you diagnose the problem and recommend the best solution.

How do i fix my leaky moen bathroom faucet?

The Moen #1224 cartridge does NOT always come out easily! Sometimes the retaining nut (Moen part #14986) is jammed from factory installation and can even break on removal. Try soaking its threads with some Singer sewing machine oil overnight and then pouring a little boiling water on the nut to expand it at the same time as you start to turn it counter-clockwise with pliers. Next you may find the cartridge almost impossible to pull out! You do not need a special tool. Just purchase a stainless #8 x 32 machine bolt and screw it well down into the threaded hole on the top of the cartridge. Then use a piece of wood like a scrap of 2 x 4 as a pivot point and put the vee of a pry bar under the head of the screw. Make sure you are levering upwards exactly vertical and you should be able to pop the cartridge out. Clean the hole and grease it with a little Vaseline before pushing in the new cartridge. Sta-rite mse-7 vertical jet well pump will not prime.

If your Sta-rite vertical mse-7 pump will not prime, there are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Check the water level: Make sure the water level in the pool or spa is high enough to reach the skimmer and the pump. Low water levels can cause the pump to lose prime.
  2. Check the skimmer basket: Make sure the skimmer basket is clean and free of debris. A clogged skimmer basket can restrict water flow and prevent the pump from priming.
  3. Check the pump lid O-ring: Make sure the pump lid O-ring is in good condition and properly seated. A damaged or misaligned O-ring can cause air leaks and prevent the pump from priming.
  4. Check the suction plumbing: Check the suction plumbing for leaks, cracks, or other damage. Any air leaks on the suction side of the pump can cause loss of prime.
  5. Check the impeller: If the impeller is damaged or clogged with debris, it can prevent the pump from priming. Remove the pump basket and inspect the impeller for damage or debris. Clean or replace the impeller as needed.
  6. Check the pump seal: If the pump seal is damaged, it can allow air to enter the pump and prevent priming. Inspect the pump seal for damage and replace it if necessary.
If none of these troubleshooting steps resolve the issue, you may need to call a professional pool service technician to diagnose and repair the problem.

Aerobic system's how it operates

A sewage treatment system utilizes two types of bacteria to break down waste products, aerobic and anaerobic. Aerobic bacteria need oxygen to live and do their job of breaking down wastes. Anaerobic bacteria need an absence of oxygen to do their work. The first tank of a septic system contains the anaerobic bacteria the second tank and drain field ( or drywell) contain the aerobic type of bacteria. Anaerobic is needed to break down solids but it cannot do the job alone so when the waste leaves the first tank air is introduced to kill the anaerobic bacteria and the aerobic bacteria is used to finish breaking down the waste. Hope this helps. Bob
