As long as the tyres are good, it will be fine. I checked mine after 4 years and went went from 75psi to 25psi, that surprised me! I will now check once a year. I have a 12 volt operated tyre pump.

Question edited for clarity, it remained unanswered because of lack of information. The hash sign # is not really good for pounds or lbs in respect of thrust on a trolling motor. Also no make was given. This unit needs 24 volts.

Yes, your 1986 Mercury 9.9 HP outboard has two fill/drain plugs for the lower unit gear oil. These plugs are located on the lower gearcase (the "foot" of the engine that goes in the water) and are used to drain and fill the gear oil (lube).

• There will be a drain/fill plug at the very bottom of the gearcase.
• There will be a second vent/level plug located higher up on the side of the gearcase.

The standard procedure for changing the gear oil involves removing both of these plugs. You fill the gearcase with new oil through the bottom hole using a pump until it starts to come out of the top (vent) hole, ensuring all air pockets are removed. When performing this maintenance, it is important to use new gaskets or O-rings on the plugs to ensure a proper seal and prevent water intrusion into the lower unit. You can purchase replacement plugs and gaskets from marine parts suppliers such as Wholesale Marine or eBasicpower.com.

At the bottom of the transom, on the outside rear of the boat - centered and low, just above the keel line. This is the main drain plug (sometimes referred to as the garboard plug), and it's used to drain water from the bilge when the boat is out of the water.
