To replace Kohler 20 with 17.5 Briggs and Stratten. Is it direct or are there wiring and electrical changes required fuel lines etc. general hook-up

Likely they're different. Typically the equipment manufacturer will have a cable adapter to the specific engine mfg. Else you'll need to create your own or patch together connections.

How much ph down General Hydroponics do I mix into how much water.

I hope you have a soil pH tester. You can do two things. Either mix the pH down to a level just below where you want to be or you can get a soil sample and see how much it takes to get the pH down to the desired amount.

My Bosch pressure washer has power and the water

It would take a small book to explain how those things work but I'll try to cut it down some. Most have three pistons in the bottom of the pump that are operated by a cam that looks like a wavy pancake. As the waves pass over the spring loaded pumps, which is actually a plunger, it presses it down and pumps. Usually each pump has three plungers. If you tackel it yourself be careful when you disamble it and remember how it came apart, especially the "O" rings. That is more than likely where you're loosing pressure, its by - passing your plungers. Replace the "O" rings and fabric washers if it has any and make sure the cam is not worn or warped. There's one other thing that keeps the pump from working and I hope this is whats wrong with yours. The cam I spoke of is attached to the crankshaft with a little pin like the fly wheel on a push mower. If that has shered off you can just replace it and go on. It a pretty good job and I can't say enough about how important it is to watch where things are as you disamble it. also look fragments of "O" rings in the bottom of the plunger assembly. Go onto the internet and see if you can find a rebuild kit for it. I've never looked for one but there is probably somebody out there that makes rebuild kits for those rigs. Hope this helps, this is from my own experience with about a dozen of them, all worked but one and we couldn't get the motor started on it. dhgill1949

I have an Hitachi ex40 excavator. it has started to nearly stall

I have a EX200-3 it starts but has no power. when I use any function it wants to stall. Except for the bucket function, when i use this function the engine frees up. I brought it to a mechinic but they couldnt find the problem and even made the problem worse. So when I start it up the engine sounds like there is a heavy load on it and ready to stall, this problem began and has become worse to the point I can not use the machine. Help please....

Pump appears to be shot in Generac 2.3 gpm 6hp

Mine blew up. The OEM is ****. Went on-line to buy a similar but more powerful pump. There are lots of pumps that are an easy bolt on. It's mostly standardized. Google "pressure washer pumps"

One day it was working fine the next day

It could be the thermal switch in the motor but that cannot be reset. If you used it with an extension cord, this has blown the thermal reset in the motor. You now have a blue boar anchor. If you haven't used an extension cord then it is probably the bypass valve switch. When you use your washer, then let the trigger shut off, this valve shuts off the motor. When you open the machine, you can tell where this valve is because it somehow has a small switch mechanism attached to it.This valve needs to be pulled out and greased with a good waterproof grease. If you can tell me the serial number, or e-mail it to me at firehead@rogers.com, I may be able to get you a schematic.

I'm looking for help.i have a gable wall that has moss fungus growing on it.i have tried sodium hyperchlorite on It few times but no success.what else can I do?

I used liquid zinc for ages , to kill scotch moss. 100% effective if put on , in hot summer not winter .then the EPA banned it. (yes bleach can work if done correctly) summer. so then I buy the zinc powered from same maker before , it was banned. then with my outdoor coleman stove a pot of boiling water add the zinc powered and now I have the liquid. and back in business now, did this for 20 years, and now move WAY WAY WAY SOUTH, no such moss. the zinc soaked into the moss takes all summer to kill it , you see it turn yellow and then just blows away. gone on my roof every other shingle is pure zinc metal strips I put on and it kills MOSS slowly or like my new house my shingles were bought me me, with copper granules. in top. kills both moss and black mildew. both. shop more carefully and buy only shingles with copper. as you know shingles are sanded, the good ones are 1/2 sand and 1/2 copper granuels. 20 years fighting this, under Douglas firs. a pain yes.
