If the Kipor generator won't start after you replaced the crankshaft and one connecting rod, there's a good chance something went slightly off during reassembly. That kind of job can throw off timing or internal alignment if even one step is missed. Here's what I'd look at first: 1. Timing might be off When you change the crankshaft, you have to be really careful with the timing marks between the crank and cam. If those aren't lined up perfectly, the valves and pistons won't move in sync, and the engine either won't start or will just crank and spit. It's easy to miss by a tooth or two. 2. Piston or connecting rod could be installed the wrong way Some pistons and rods have to face a specific direction. Try starter fluid. Remove air filter, spray a less than 1 seconds burst into carburetor throat or as close as you can get.

Leave filter and cover off and promptly attempt to start. If it fires and runs for a few seconds and dies, then fuel is not being delivered from carb.

If no fire then either it is flooded, no spark, spark at wrong time, or no/weak compression.

You will get voltage only when the field coils are exited. Check for exiter voltage first.
