How do I switch the
Disconnect the hose and replace the drain cap, that was removed to connect the hose.

I have Fedders Dehumidifier Model # A3DH30B2A
depending on the temperature of the area your trying to dehumidify, if its below 65 degrees the fan will run,but the compressor won't,because the way the unit is designed it needs around 70+ degrees to do its job as intended,the fan will run at any temp.,but to get the compressor to run it needs to be warmer for the units sensor,if its that cool,then run just a fan to keep moisture away till it warms up so the compressor can operate

Normal operation, the unit has sensed icing and is in the defrost mode (compressor off and fan on high). When the ice melts normal operation will resume.
