Hello, I'm using a Detective Special Cap Gun, but the trigger isn't working properly. It feels loose and doesn't activate the hammer or magazine. Instead, pulling the trigger moves the magazine up and opens the cap gun. I would greatly appreciate any advice you may be able to provide regarding how to resolve this issue. Thank you!

I had the same problem. Unscrew the top part from the bottom. The top chamber might be low on fluid. I emptied my dirty fluid out and filled it with clean hydraulic fluid. Put it back together and it worked.

Rotary screw air compressor troubleshooting basics ' Air Compressor Guide (air-compressor-guide.com)
Ingersoll Rand Air Compressor Troubleshooting - Air Compressor Insider
troubleshoot this issue step by step:
Compressor Not Starting:
Check the supply power and ensure there are no electrical issues.
Verify that the emergency stop is disengaged.
Reset the overload relay.
If it's a new installation, check the phase sequence.
High-Temperature Shutdown:
Ensure proper ventilation and ambient temperature.
Check oil level, type, and cooler condition.
Verify the thermostatic valve is functioning.
Inspect oil lines for dirt or obstructions.
Compressor Runs But Won't Load:
A screw compressor can run loaded (pumping air) or unloaded (idle).
The inlet/loading valve opens based on air demand.
Check the solenoid valve controlling the inlet valve:
Verify electrical power to the solenoid valve.
Inspect the solenoid valve coil and operation.
Verify the inlet/loading valve is working correctly.
Low Capacity / Insufficient Pressure:
Rule out excessive air demand or leaks.
Check if the inlet valve fully opens.
Inspect the differential pressure over the oil separator.
Replace the separator if necessary.
Clean or replace compressed air filters.
Safety Valve Blows / High Pressure:
Ensure the pressure switch is correctly set and operational.
Verify the inlet valve and loading solenoid function properly.
If the safety valve is before the oil separator, check its differential pressure.
Oil in Compressed Air:
Causes include an old/saturated oil separator or plugged scavenge line.
Check running temperature and oil level.
Ensure the correct oil type is used.
Verify the minimum pressure valve is working.
Water in Compressed Air:
Water is a natural byproduct of air compression.
Check the condensate trap for proper operation.
