2003 ford f150 6 cd player. initializing goes to

In the cd player there are few main things. One is lens, this lens is the thin glass part which reads the cd.If this lens is got dirty or cracked or faulty. Then it will not be able to read cd.The lens is one possibility. The other possibility is faulty motor. There is a motor which spins the cd in the player. If the motor is not working then cd will not spin on the lens and it will not read the cd as motor is just stuck and not working. Also as you mentioned that cd got jammed in the unit o you spin the gears. The gears are also spin by the motor. If the motor is getting jammed then this problem occurs. It has to be checked. In some cases its just basic cleaning inside the unit. But in some cases the parts are to be replaced. If lens is faulty then ccd lens assembly has to be replaced. If motor is faulty or weak then it has to be replaced. ----------- If only lens is faulty then cd will spin in the unit,so you will come to know that motor is working. But if no motor spin noise then its faulty motor causing the problem.---

These are few possibilities of lens not working. But in most cases its dirty lens causing this problem. SO open the tray by pressing the eject button, then unplug the unit from main power outlet, by keeping the cd tray open. Then take air blower and blow air in the unit. Please remove, if there is any cd in the tray while blowing air. Just blow air for few minutes. Then take a dry tissue and clean the cd placing tray externally and then reconnect the power and see, if that is helping or not. If the problem is same as before, then disassemble the unit and clean the lens manually by hand using dry tissue paper and then see if its helping. But take care while cleaning the lens with dry tissue you doesn't apply too much pressure on lens or any other parts. Also before removing any screw to disassemble the unit. Take a marker with you ready. Just mark the position of parts and screws before removing. If you have a cell phone with web cam in it then take a photo of the internal parts before moving any parts. Disassembly is not very hard but reassembling is not easy. So this pictures and marks with help you for reassembly. ----------But if lens is cracked internally then the lens assembly has to be replaced. You can get it replaced from local cd /dvd player repair center. They have these parts with them. --------------- This should help. Thanks. Helpmech.

My boss 2.0 farad did

If you charge without a resistor, there will be a large spark. If you know how to wire, you can charge the cap through a light.

Wire from the (+) battery to one lead of the light, then the other lead of the light to the (+) on the cap. This will charge the cap a little slower. When the light goes out you can hook it right to the battery.

Movies and cds wont play.

this is caused by a defective laser reader, to get this problem repaired will cost in most cases more than a new deck, so replacing it is a good money wise option.

Hi, In my esteem car

you will need to access the speaker wiring on the back of the deck and switch it with the one that works, this way you will know if it is the speaker or the wire.

Need code to 98 clk benz radio

Radio code is specific for each and every car. It is specific like anti theft code.

So you can get it by providing your VIN# and registration details in authorised dealership.Nobody else can provide you. If anybody can provide you that , then there is no meaning of security for your car.

I have a boss class-d mono bloch 3000d When i turn

This is just a thought, what gauge wire are you running to your amp? The more current that passes through a wire the higher it's resistance becomes therefore dropping voltage across the wire and ultimatley not allowing your amp to perform as it should.

I am looking for a code so I can use my directv

First make sure that the code has not been noted somewhere within the car (underneath the ash tray, glove box , rear of sun visor etc)

To see if your code is available here  for free then the radio will have to be removed from the dashboard (and if you are lucky, someone may have written the code on the casing ) .

If not then POST ANOTHER QUESTION

quoting the radio MAKE+MODEL plus ALL the LETTERS+NUMBERS on ANY LABELS ,BARCODES or STAMPED IN THE METAL CASING

Otherwise try your Main Dealer ...........or take it into a Decode Service who will plug in a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM). This takes a few minutes and shouldn`t be too expensive

Engine noise

The rca is looking for a ground, therefore the easiest way is to go to walmart and for $20 buy a ground loop isolator in the car stereo section. Very simple plug in installation

I just dont know how to plug everything with

Black is ground(hook to a bolt going into metal on vehicle). Red is switched power(only on with ignition on). Yellow is power(power even if ignition is off). Blue is amp turn-on(located at radio and sends signal for amp to turn on). It is sparking because you do not have it grounded properly. You can damage your amp and or you car's electrical system....be careful. Always pull a main fuse or disconnect the battery when wiring a car audio system.

What is the wire diagram for the 3way bx35 boss

Hello rew_smith,

The wiring diagram is silk screened right on the top of the unit. If your diagram is missing or obscured, you can get one directly from www.bossaudio.com.

The first 3 pairs of connections for subwoofer, front, and rear inputs coming from your receiver or head unit. Top is left channel, bottom is right channel. The 2nd set of connections are the outputs and matched in function to the first set. These are connected to your amp(s).

To the right of the input/output connectors are the 12V +, remote and ground screw terminals. The 2 switches and 9 controls allow you to set the high-pass frequency and output levels for the front and rear channels, and the crossover frequency, bass boost, phase, and output level for the subwoofer.

Hope this helps.

I have a Boss OL5KD Class D Monoblock Amplifier

Hello maydude01,

The Boss OL5KD does not have a volume control. It has an "Input Level" adjustment which is used to match the output from your head unit preamp output to the amp. It is the first rotary control just to the right of the input jacks.

If you have no sound at all, I'd suspect that something is incorrectly connected or there is no input to the amp. First make sure that the amp power light (green LED) is coming on when you turn on the receiver and that the protection light (red LED) stays off. Then check all of your wiring, especially the RCA output cables.

Initially set the controls like this: MASTER/SLAVE switch in MASTER position (left). INPUT SENSITIVITY 2v-8v (right). INPUT LEVEL, SUBSONIC FILTER, BASS BOOST, and LOW PASS FILTER; midrange. PHASE SHIFT "0" (left). Leave the remote level control disconnected.

After you've checked all wiring and initially set the switches and controls, turn the receiver on to about 3/4 volume. Now adjust the INPUT LEVEL to the left just until you begin to hear distortion, then turn it back right just a little. Adjust the other controls for best sound. Plug in the remote level control and make sure that it adjusts the bass up and down. You're finished!

If there's still no output from the unit after checking all of the wiring, either the unit is defective, it's not getting an input from the receiver, or the sub(s) are defective.

Hope this helps.

I need to know how to install a Boss Audio

Hello viperman2004,

Just connect your speaker leads to the input of the B65N (gray and gray/white pigtail leads), run the RCA cables to your amp (red=right) inputs, adjust the left and right level controls to match the amp input without distortion, and mount the unit.

Hope this helps.

How to install a 7 band boss eq with no high input

If you are using the low input to put high input in you can use a 22k resistor and a 10uf capacitor connected in series to the plus side of the speaker wires. This will bring down the signal level from the speaker to low input level and you will have a nice distorted free music.

Boss BA-2900 car amp doesnt produce any sound

i have come across a similar problem before. if you are using the ceramic (glass, clear) fuses the solder in the end caps sometimes melts. you will not see the fuse blown, but the fuse may still be bad. try a new fuse to see if that works. also make sure no single stray strands of wire from a positive or negative wire are touching on the terminals on the amp. i hope this helps. ill keep thinking of other things in the meantime
