Error code 51031 on my wii - Computers & Internet

<span>Nintendo Wii Error Code 51031</span><br /><br /><span>This error code means that the wireless network within range is not configured or is not compatible with your Nintendo Wii.</span><br /><br />-Make sure the router you are using is compatible. You can see a list of compatible routers by clicking <a href="http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/wfc/en_na/routers/index.jsp">here</a><br /><br />-Make sure the SSID(network name) you enter into the Wii settings matches the SSID of your router. This includes making sure capitalization, spaces, or special characters match exactly.<br /><br />You can log in to your router by going to the gateway address of the router(usually 192.168.1.1 and type this into your internet browser), and going into the wireless settings section. Check what the SSID is. Power cycle the equipment. Turn off all devices(modem, router and Wii). After 10 seconds turn on the modem, after 30 seconds turn on the router and after 30 seconds turn on the Wii. Try to connect online.<br /><br />If you are not using DCHP but instead have your home network setup to assign a IP address manually, you will need to setup the Wii with the IP/DNS addresses. You can set your manual settings in the Wii network settings menu. See the link above to my tech article.<br /><br />-Your router firmware may need to be upgraded.
