ERROR CODE 9E

Error 02-9E Means there is a scratched or otherwise unreadable disc. The problem could be the laser as well. This error can mean any of the following:
Scratched disc
Improper media Bad burn/copy of disc
Improperly adjusted laser - requires an alignment
Dirty Laser Lens (smokers will experience this more often)
Laser failure etc.
Try changing the CD/DVD you are using and if you are still getting the same error, then try to visit you nearest Pioneer Service center and get your headunit's laser tested for allignment. How much you'd invest for repair must be below the cost of a new one or it's not worth it.

I don't know if this is the same. However, on my washing machine I had to clear out the water trap at the bottom of the machine. I know I have to clean it out every 6 months to be on the safe side. This also helps the machine to not smell like old stagnate water and helps your clothing smell fresher with not having that water build up and sit. I found all strange things in all kinds of water overflow tubs.

I also had the 9E error code on my Samsung dishwasher DMT800RHS mmodel. I had to call Samsung and the nearest authorized Samsung service representative came to my house last Tuesday, January 29, 2013. The cost of the call is $100 which really annoyed me off considering the dishwasher is only 1 1/2 years old. Two South Korean guys showed up and to fix the problem just press down on the Heavy, Delicate and Power button at the same time for a few seconds and a menu will appear on the top left hand corner of the panel. Scroll down the menu by pressing the Normal button until you reach "FT" and the dishwasher will automatically fill up and then autimatically drain. If it does not drain then scroll down to "S" and the dishwasher will drain. Thsi should get rid of the 9E error message and your dishwasher will work fine but if not you have to repeat the procedure maybe 2 or 3 times until the 9E error message disappears. If you constantly get the 9E error message then you may need to replace the part which is about $60. The part is extremely sensitive to either hard water or food particles which is why the 9E error message appears. Therefore, scrape your dishes thoroughly so the food particles are minimized and the sensor does not go off which causes the 9E error message.

9E code is a door switch circuit problem.
You can check the wiring and connections and the door switch.
If the problem is not isolated to one or more of these parts then the control board is malfunctioning and must be replaced.
The manual states "unplug the dryer for 1 minute" "reconnect and if the problem re-occurs to check the components.
Maytag has a special circuit board that can be plugged in to evaluate the existing circuit board. Only Maytag certified techs have these test boards, and not all of them have it.
Check your door switch and wires.
The door switch is a inexpensive part compared to the cost of the circuit board. If in doubt, replace the door switch before proceeding.

The error code 9E indicates that low voltage is being detected at the control board of the dryer. This could be caused by the following factors:

• The electrical power supply to the dryer is bad. Check the dryer outlet for proper voltage (120 volts AC).
• Unplug the dryer and check the wiring of the dryer outlet plug. A loose wire on the terminal block could cause this problem.
• If you are able to safely access the control board in the console, check the red wire that connects to the heater relay on the board. (NOTE: The dryer should always be unplugged when accessing internal components.) A loose wire or burned connection in this area could result in this error code.
• A failed control board could cause this problem.

If you are unable to determine and repair the cause of this problem, I recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your dryer.

Owner's manual doesn't really say what the -02-9e error code means other than a disc error. They do recommend resetting the unit as a possible solution:

1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Remove the faceplate.
3. On the right side of the front of the head unit (with the faceplate removed), press the reset button with a ball point pen.
