Hi there, did you recently upgrade some drivers, like the wireless driver?

What operating system are you using? Windows Xp or Vista?
Eaither way I advise you to Restore the system back to the day that it worked. If you remember what day it was still working, go under start - programs (or all programs in Vista) - accessories - System Tools - System Restore. At this point select "Restore my computer to an earlier time". Select the date, like 1 or two months ago (wathever date you remember it was working) and proceed. This tool leaves all your data and information untouched, but uninstall all the software you installed since that point. In Windows Vista, after you click continue to start the restore, it takes a while until it does something. It's normal don't worry.

What do you mean with recovering? Do you have a recovery Cd or DVD? Unless it's a hardware problem with the wireless adapter the recovery should fix everything, but it's going to erase all your data. Whenever you do a recovery (that means bringing the computer back to a factory condition, it's going to look like when you bought it the first time), backup all your data.

Before performing any backup I want to ask you a question.

Right click on the wireless connection under Network connection, click on properties, scroll down and select Internet Protocl (TCP/IP), double click on it. Make sure the you are obtaining an IP addres automatically, along with the DNS server address.

If that's set up correctly and it still doesn't work, ma ke sure that the wireless key (if you ever set up one for you wireless protection) is the correct one. If you insert a wrong wireless key, the pc seems connecting to the router but it doesn't allow you to surf the web.
