Printer problem I am trying to get my all in one 942 to work with Vista

    my dell 942 printer doesn't work with my dell computer with vista. I tried to restart, reconnect and kicking the damn thing without results.

My printer is stuck in a Photo Mode error. I have uninstalled several times and it will not leave the screen. Is there a way to reset the screen.

You can download the software/driver from here. It's recommended to download and install all the 3.

Prior the installation, COMPLETELY remove ALL Dell software (related to the printer, through Programs and Features, then restart your computer. Afterwards, install the downloaded software.

Im trying to install an old printer on a new vista comp w/o disks
Windows Vista" is your operating system.
I would start by uninstalling (undoing) any of the printer software that you have installed, and try again. It sounds like at this point that you may have bits and pieces of both 'XP' and 'Vista' drivers installed.
Your link is pointing to the right page at Dell, just select the "driver" under the windows Vista tab.
I'm not sure how that software will be packaged, But I assume that it is self installing once you download it. You just click on it to start the installation. Usually you will leave you USB cable to the printer unplugged until after the installation, and then you are prompted to plug it in.
I'm not sure if this will help, but it's difficult to know exactly what you have done to this point.

Hate to tell you this , but the Dell 924 printer driver is not made to support the MAC operating system
The printer would only work on windows platform that too on
windows 2000, xp and VIsta

All you need to do is go to above link & download & run the upgrade/patch first. It will uninstall the drivers for the printer & thn download & install the drivers.....once the drivers are installd, you will get the aio center.....do let me knw if ny further help is required...
