When putting it together, the fan cover was not put on correctly and was preventing the fan blades from spinning. The oscillation works correctly, but the fan motor that spins the blades does not work at all. Did the motor burn out? Or is their some sort of other part that can be replaced? The in-board fuse seems okay, and if were burned out would prevent the oscillation function from working, right? There is very little support here on the web. Thank you in advance.
I have the very same model and it worked for 6 years OK. Two days ago the fan stopped turning even tho it still oscillated. I often repair my own equipment and so I opened it to check what was wrong. I found out that it has two motors., one for oscillating and one to turn the blades. In short I discovered that the fan motor is bad, even though there was no odor. Using duct tape or glue is not a solution unless you hear noise from the motor when your fan is on and the oscillating off. I suggest that you return your unit if it is new.. Personally I am going to try to purchase a new one if I can find the model. I hope this helps.

What is there to fix with glue? Is this a joke response? There is no movement of the fan motor or axle. It seems that no power at all is getting to the motor which spins the blades. Is there a part that was burned out which prevents power to run the motor. It's a brand new fan.

oscillation works but blades don't - just bought it haven't tried any thing at this point. Person I bought it from said it worked before.
I found out that mine has a tiny fuse in the electric plug that needed to be replaced.
