So how do you reset the error code?
Have you replaced the cleaning webs? Did you make sure the web flags are in the correct postion? If that was done. Go into the service mode > "*" "2 8""*" > then go to copier then counters and rest the web counter under "Miss" and the go to "Funcation" and go to CLR the to ERR and press "OK" bottom right and tur the copier off then back on. A E005 code means that one or both of the cleaning webs need to be replaced and there counters need to be reset. Also, maybe the web out sensor flag is out of place

if your machine is giving E-005 that means your fixing assembly (fuser cleaning web is not detecting) is bad.
go in service mode by pressing additional fuction + 2 & 8 + again press addtional function
If you find that the E005 code won't reset after replacing the Web, and clearing both web counters in service mode, <COPIER>COUNTER>MISC>FIX-WEB> and <COPIER>COUNTER>DRBL-1>FIX-WEB> perform a Error Clear in service mode <COPIER>FUNCTION>CLEAR>ERR>.

Main Cause The fixing web has been taken up. The fixing web length sensor (PS45) is faulty. The DC controller PCB is faulty.
Mode of Detection
0000 The length of fixing web that has been taken up is in excess of the specified length.
Caution After replacing the fixing web, be sure to reset the two web counters in service mode: COPIER>COUNTER>MISC>FIX-WEB and COPIER>COUNTER>DRBL-1>FX-WEB.
